No. Course payments are non-refundable once paid, so please read the terms for your course before you pay.
No. I teach and mark carefully, but nobody can honestly promise a score. Your result depends on your starting level, your practice and your performance on test day.
At least 150 words for Task 1 and at least 250 words for Task 2. Writing fewer is penalised, but writing far more takes time you need for checking.
Spend about 20 minutes on Task 1 and about 40 minutes on Task 2. Task 2 carries more marks, so do not let Task 1 run over.
No. A clear overview of the main features does that job. Write the overview straight after your introduction.
Not by themselves. Accurate, natural words that suit the topic score better than rare words used wrongly. Use new vocabulary only when you are sure of its meaning and grammar.
Yes. The Writing Assessment Lab gives an estimated band with feedback on all four criteria. It is a guide, not an official score. For marking by me, choose the trainer evaluation.
It is a face-to-face interview of about 11 to 14 minutes in three parts: introduction and familiar topics, a talk on a topic card, and a discussion of more abstract ideas.
No. Examiners assess clear pronunciation, not a particular accent. Stress, rhythm and clear sounds matter more.
Record yourself answering questions, listen back and fix one problem at a time. You can also use the Speaking Assessment Lab, which asks questions aloud and gives feedback.
Both Reading and Listening have 40 questions. Reading lasts 60 minutes. Listening lasts about 30 minutes, with extra time to transfer answers on the paper test.
No. Never leave an answer blank. Always guess.
Use the Practice page for Cambridge tests on Engnovate, and the Band calculator to turn your raw score into an estimated band.
Listening and Speaking are the same. Reading and Writing differ. Academic is usually for university study, and General Training is usually for work, training or migration. See the What is IELTS section on the home page.
Each module gets a band from 0 to 9 in half-band steps. The overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half band.

IELTS and English language instructor, Sylhet, Bangladesh
I teach IELTS online and in the classroom. I mark Speaking and Writing against the official band descriptors, so every comment links to a score and tells you what to fix next.
Designed a 4-week Before Exam Training programme for 180+ students across 12 batches. 78% reached their target band. Raised the average score of 450+ students by 1.0 band from first mock to final exam.
Taught 600+ students across 20+ batches with 90% retention. 65% of IELTS students reached band 6.5 or above.
Led 4 batches of 60+ students and earned an 85% good or excellent rating in end-of-course surveys.
Convert your raw Listening and Reading scores into IELTS bands, then combine all four modules into your overall band score.
Same scale for Academic and General Training.
For the IELTS Academic test.
For the IELTS General Training test.
Choose your band for each module. Use the results above for Listening and Reading, and your teacher’s mark or the official band descriptors for Writing and Speaking.
Listening and Reading are marked out of 40 and converted to a band from 0 to 9. Writing and Speaking are marked directly in bands by examiners. Your overall band is the average of the four.
Add your four bands, divide by four, then round to the nearest half band. An average ending in .25 rounds up to .5, and one ending in .75 rounds up to the next whole band.
Example: Listening 7.0, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.0 and Speaking 6.5 average 6.5. Listening 7.0, Reading 7.0, Writing 6.5 and Speaking 6.5 average 6.75, which rounds up to 7.0.
Raw-score conversions use the commonly published tables and may differ slightly between test versions. This calculator gives an estimate, not an official result. Need more practice? Try the Cambridge practice tests or read the important articles.
Get an instant AI estimate of your IELTS Writing, with detailed feedback based on the public band descriptors and a PDF report you can download. It is an estimate, not an official score.
Use a clear, upright, close-up image of the chart, graph, table or map so the examiner can check your data against it.
The AI check is an estimate. For a real evaluation by a qualified trainer, choose a paid option. Payment is manual by bKash or bank transfer. After you pay, send your name, transaction number and payment method on WhatsApp.

AI feedback is an estimate based on the public band descriptors. It is not an official IELTS score and does not replace an examiner or trainer.
Take a full three-part IELTS Speaking test with an AI examiner who speaks the questions aloud. You answer, the timers run as in the real test, and you receive detailed written feedback and a PDF report afterwards.
Speech is turned into text on your device or by your browser’s speech service, so pronunciation cannot be scored reliably. The report scores Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and gives an estimate only.

These are Academic tests. For General Training, browse the Cambridge lists for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

My IELTS books, to read here on the website. They are view-only: they cannot be downloaded, copied or printed from this page.
The book I teach my full course from: grammar and vocabulary for Band 7–8 (with Bangla meanings), then every module step by step, with tips, model answers, answer analyses and exam-day advice.
The practice tests used in class (Cambridge reading passages, listening questions and audioscripts) are not reproduced here, for copyright reasons. Each one is named in the book with a link to do it online.
This guide takes you through three moments: the day before your test, the test itself and the last minutes before you enter the room. Read it once now, then read the checklist (section 11) again on the day before.
It gives general preparation advice and describes some official rules from the British Council, IDP and IELTS. Official rules differ between providers, countries and formats, so always follow your own confirmation email and your test centre’s instructions.
The day before is for calm, simple preparation. Your English will not change much overnight, but your mood and organisation can.
A useful rule: on the day before the test, review strategies, not new content.
Listening is played once. You cannot go back, so attention is your most important skill.
You have 60 minutes for three passages and 40 questions. On paper, no extra time is given to transfer answers, so write them on the answer sheet as you go.
The questions rarely use the same words as the passage. Look for meaning, not only matching words.
Task 1 is about 20 minutes and needs at least 150 words. Plan for a minute or two before you write. Clarity and task achievement matter more than long sentences.
Good Task 1 answers are planned, clear and complete. Spend your first minute deciding what you will say.
Task 2 is about 40 minutes and needs at least 250 words. According to the official IELTS website, Task 2 contributes twice as much as Task 1 to the Writing score, so give it the larger share of your time.
The Speaking test is a conversation with an examiner and lasts about 11 to 14 minutes. Speak naturally and clearly. It is not a memory test.
The test content and scoring are the same. The way you enter answers and use your time is different. Test centres may differ, so follow your own instructions.
| Area | Paper-based | Computer-delivered |
|---|---|---|
| Listening answers | Write on the question paper, then transfer to the answer sheet in the time given. | Type answers as you listen. IDP describes no separate transfer time. |
| Reading answers | Write directly on the answer sheet. No extra transfer time. | Answers are entered on screen. |
| Writing | Handwriting. Make sure your writing is easy to read. | Typing. IDP describes a word counter on screen. |
| Moving between questions | Turn pages and use the paper. | Use the on-screen buttons. IDP describes a review button in Listening and tools such as highlighting in Reading. |
| Time checks | A wall clock in the room. | A timer on screen. |
Do not assume that every centre has the same procedures or facilities. Read the instructions on the screen or paper before you begin, and ask the invigilator if something is unclear before the test starts. Official overview: IDP: how computer-delivered IELTS works.
Rules vary by test provider, country, centre and format. Do not rely on a general list, including this one. Your confirmation email and your centre’s instructions are the rules for your test.
These are the mistakes I see most often in my classes, and what to do instead.
Tick these before you leave home and again before you enter the test room. If your provider’s rules differ from this list, follow your provider.
I have taught IELTS since 2021, and what I see again and again is simple: students who prepare steadily, manage their time and stay calm do their best work. You do not need to be perfect on test day. You need to read carefully, think clearly and keep going.
Check the instructions, answer the question that is asked, and be accurate before you try to be impressive. Trust the practice you have done. Be consistent in your preparation and kind to yourself on the day.
No guide, teacher or website can promise a score. This page cannot either. What it can do is help you walk in prepared. Good luck.
For my step-by-step exam-day routine, a list of dos and don’ts, and my extra tips for the Writing test, read Class 35 of my course book (Book 3) on the Resources page.
Follow your own provider’s current instructions for every official rule.
Practise IELTS under exam conditions, with the layout and timing of the computer-delivered test. These are practice tests, not official IELTS tests.
Listening and Reading are scored automatically with their answer keys. Writing and Speaking feedback from the Assessment Labs is an AI estimate, not an official IELTS result and not an examiner's assessment.
Each AI-Assisted Mock runs Listening, Reading and Writing in a fixed order, with an instructions page and countdowns, then lets you choose the Speaking assessment. Each mock has its own Listening, Reading and Writing test; Writing gets AI feedback in the Writing Assessment Lab. To practise a single module, use Partial Mock Tests.

Words from students who sat their IELTS after learning with me.
I used to feel overwhelmed by IELTS preparation. With a clearer study plan and regular practice, I gradually became more confident. I’m pleased with my result and appreciate the guidance I received.
The regular feedback helped me identify my weaknesses and work on them. I especially appreciated the simple explanations and practical tips. I achieved my expected score through consistent preparation.
Sir helped me understand that improving IELTS requires the right practice, not just studying for long hours. His guidance made my preparation more effective, and I’m happy with my achievement.
I struggled with Writing Task 2, particularly developing ideas. Sir's feedback helped me organise my answers and avoid repeating mistakes. I achieved my target band and found his guidance very helpful.
The classes helped me prepare for IELTS with a clear plan. I learned how to approach different question types and manage my time during practice tests. I’m satisfied with my result.
I joined to improve my Speaking and become more confident. The regular practice helped me express my ideas more naturally. I achieved my expected score and would recommend his guidance.
I’m really grateful to Mujakkir Sir for his guidance throughout my IELTS preparation. His feedback and practical techniques helped me improve my performance, and I achieved an overall band score of 8.0. I would definitely recommend him to anyone preparing for IELTS.
I achieved an overall band score of 8.0 with Mujakkir Sir’s guidance. His classes helped me understand my mistakes, practise more effectively, and build confidence before the test. If you’re serious about reaching your target band, I would recommend learning from him.
Student reviews will appear here soon.
